NEW! 2025 Stuff the Turkey Food Drive: November 10 - 21! The five Elmbrook Elementary Schools are competing to see who can bring in the MOST (the heaviest!) food for the Waukesha Food Pantry! Donation bins will be in the elementary schools November 10th - 21st. Help your school WIN the prized TURKEY TROPHY to display in the school throughout the year! Tonawanda has won this honor for the past three school years, let's keep the trophy again for 2025! See the flyer for the details. The competition is based on the weight of the food so think of heavy items to donate... peanut butter, canned food (tuna, chicken), rice, etc. Thank you, in advance, for our community's generosity!

NEW! Our Annual Veterans' Day Assembly will be held at Tonawanda on Veterans Day, Tuesday afternoon, November 11 at 2:00 PM. We are excited to invite any Veterans or active military personnel with a Tonawanda connection (grandparent, parent, uncle, aunt, neighbor, friend) to attend our assembly tomorrow on Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11 to be our honored guests. We welcome our honored guests to invite their Tonawanda student(s) to join them as they briefly introduce themselves to our school community.  Please plan to arrive at Tonawanda at 1:30 PM or earlier so that there is plenty of time for the Raptor entrance protocols including presenting a driver's license or state identification.  We will open the doors to our gym at 1:45 PM for our honored guests. Additionally, our fourth and fifth grade chorus will perform songs at this Veterans' Day assembly! We will have limited seating in the back for our family audience. In order to plan accordingly for seating for our honored guests and our audience for our chorus performance, please RSVP to 262-785-3950 or email Michelle Kiese at kiesem@elmbrookschools.org by end of day on Monday, November 10th to let us know of the expected Veteran guest or audience members.  Again, one final reminder: For any guests joining us for this special assembly, please plan ahead and arrive (around 1:30 PM or earlier) with plenty of extra time to complete the Raptor entrance protocols including presenting a driver's license or state identification. We look forward to this special assembly!

Three-Minute Film Festival! See this linked flyer! This year we celebrate our 5th year! Since its inception, we have had participants from EVERY school in the Elmbrook district submit a film for consideration. This festival is a big deal and the award ceremony will be held at the SLWC on January 25th 2026! The details of the Film Festival can be found here: https://sites.google.com/elmbrookschools.org/bchsathleticsartsactivities/theater/elmbrook-3-min-film-festival?authuser=0

Donations of paper grocery bags needed! We use 8 paper bags a day for our cafeteria composting stations.  Please send in your paper bags!  Thank you!

Due to large ridership on our buses, only routed students will be allowed on the buses again this school year.  We cannot have unrouted students ride home with other students on their buses for playdates. Only routed and assigned bus riders may be on our buses.  Thank you for your understanding!

Background Check Process for Volunteers!  We love  our family/parent/grandparent volunteers!  In hopes that we will be able to welcome you all back in to help out this upcoming school year, we wanted to share the process for becoming a volunteer in our schools.  Please see https://www.elmbrookschools.org/departments/human-resources/how-to-volunteer-in-elmbrook for all the information including completing our district's volunteer background check process.  You will need to renew this process every two years.  It is a great idea to get this task done over the summer as there is an approximate two week processing time before you are able to volunteer in our school. Thank you!
