NEW! Medication Pick-Up by June 10th!  Medications kept in the health room must be picked up by an adult by June 10th.  Medication cannot be released to students or taken home on the bus.  Medications that are left behind on June 11th will be discarded.  Thank you!

Chromebooks and Chargers Collected for Summer! Second, third, and fourth grade students' district-issued Chromebooks and chargers will be collected for the summer!  Any students not returning to Tonawanda or not attending an Elmbrook middle school next year will turn in their chromebooks at the end of the school year. Thank you for your cooperation. If you cannot find the charger, please use this link to purchase new chargers to turn in by the end of the school year. Exception: Our fifth grade students will keep their Chromebooks and chargers over the summer and will take them to Pilgrim Park Middle School (or Wisconsin Hills Middle School, if applicable) in the Fall 2026.

Lice Reported. Last week, we had a few cases of lice reported within our school. The best defense against lice is checking your child(ren)'s head(s) frequently. If lice or nits are found, please follow up with treatment.

NEW!  Summer is a great time to do: Background Check Process for Volunteers!  We love  our family/parent/grandparent volunteers!  In hopes that we will be able to welcome you all back in to help out this upcoming school year, we wanted to share the process for becoming a volunteer in our schools.  Please see https://www.elmbrookschools.org/departments/human-resources/how-to-volunteer-in-elmbrook for all the information including completing our district's volunteer background check process.  You will need to renew this process every two years.  It is a great idea to get this task done over the summer as there is an approximate two week processing time before you are able to volunteer in our school. NEW! Summer Resources for Supporting Learning at Home! As we head into the summer break, we want to ensure our students feel confident and prepared for the upcoming school year. To help bridge the gap between grades, we are excited to recommend a number of optional resources for both math and literacy support. We appreciate all you do to support your child’s learning at home. After the July 4th holiday, Principal Olson will send out email communication/information about every two weeks to our 2026-2027 Tonawanda families for the upcoming new school year.

Beginning Monday, June 15th, both Principal Kristin Olson and Administrative Assistant Michelle Kiese will be working this summer. Our Tonawanda office will be open for phone calls and visits Mondays-Thursdays from 8 AM - 2 PM.
